The container ordering has really taken off lets see how demand will absorb all these vessels and especially the giant 18,000 teu ones… Zeppenfeld went to samjin for four 4700 containers and price is region $60 mill apiece while seaspan went to new yangzijiang for seven option eighteen 10,000 teu containers costing abt $100 mill each! NOL agreed with Hyundai to build ten 14,000 teu containers costing $130 mill each and sinotrans went to qingshan for two 1100 teu ships costing $18 mill each.

Maersk exercised options for another ten 18,000 teu ships in Daewoo costing $185 mill each and so now they have twenty firm orders there!!! MOL placed an order for two 8600 teu containers in Mitsubishi . Rongsheng got a big order for up to 10 205,000 dwt capes from restis probably in JV with a Chinese utilities group costing $58 mill each and four containers of 6600 teu that are split between goldenport and dynacom, price is $67 mill each.

U ming added two more capes of 206.000 dwt at SWS so now they have four firm orders and  the average price is region $58 mill apiece while CSC phoenix agreed with changhong to build two 28,000 dwt handies. Rederi gotland agreed with Guangzhou to build one option one 53,000 dwt product tanker costing $32 mill  while solvang went to Hyundai for a VLGC costing $77 mill that will go on long tc to flopec. Teekay offshore agreed with Samsung to build four DP2 suezmax shuttles for long period to BG and new co tankers inc ordered two option two 75,000 dwt coated tankers in dalian for abt $40 mill each. Angelicoussis is betting big in LNG and has now ordered two more LNG ships 160,000 cbm in Daewoo and two option two 164,000 cbm ships in Hyundai each costing abt $200 mill!
