As always lets start our analysis from the Newbuildings front. Maersk have increased their MR orders to six at sungdong, costing $35 mill apiece while navig8 have declared two more options for VLCC’s at SWS (they now have six there) costing abt $93 mill each. MOSK went to minami Nippon for three 45,000 dwt methanol carriers and two of those will be on long TC to AMPCO while Tokyo LNG agreed with JMU to build two 165,000 cbm tri fuel LNG ships both will be working off cove point USA for 20 years! DSME got a huge order for 12 VLGC’s from two Chinese buyers, Shandong shipping and china peace, each costs $78 mill while Tianjin southwest maritime has exercised an option for another VLGC in jiagnan (so 3 in total) costing $69 mill! Aurora also ordered two more VLGC’s at Hyundai and have further options pending!
